NSW Broker & Channels Manager

Sydney - Full Time

Want to make a big splash in a small pond?

The Broker and Channel Manager needs to have the ability to think on their feet and be able to establish and expand on relationships with assigned channel partners (based on type and geographic location). They also need to be proficient in analytics, pricing (although pricing support is significantly provided) account planning, marketing and delivery, relationship buildings and retention. Initially, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and a dotted line to the General Manager in Melbourne, the role focuses on driving revenues via the broker and channels we have and those you will need to secure.

Job tasks and responsibilities

  • Manage and grow the existing broker channel
  • Identification of key new broker & channels opportunities for added sales
  • Growth of active broker & channels base through networking and relationships management
  • Development and ongoing support of relationships with brokers & channels
  • Development of new strategic sales plans
  • Meeting monthly sales targets in terms of revenues via sites (NMI’s), gross margin and revenues

Skills and experience

This Next Business Energy NSW Broker & Channel Manager is to be a specialist in relationship management and analytics, price management and value-added sales management to secure sales. They need to have strong marketing aptitude and the ability negotiate with executives.

To be considered for this opportunity you will need:

  • Demonstrated track record in a similar role - 5 years + preferred
  • Proven ability to negotiate - written and verbal
  • Experience in developing business and marketing plans and delivering operational role out plans enabling fast delivery of Broker & Channels sales to us
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Ability to build strong relationships with brokers & channels and matching their business needs to our products
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive with a can-do attitude.


The package will be a base salary in the order of $100-120,000+ per annum plus statutory superannuation and $40,000 per annum additional OTE based on meeting the agreed sales targets and the candidates ability. There will be no cap on sales and commissions over the targets.
