About the business and the role

We have an opportunity for an experienced Client Relations and Retention Manager (CRRM) to join our Sales Team. Reporting to the State Sales Manager, you will be the trusted advisor for each customer across your portfolio and identify opportunities to continuously improve customer engage and provide solutions.

Based in CBD Melbourne, you will be fully accountable for the overall relationship management process for each nominated client ensuring both parties obtain maximum value from the relationship.

You will be part of a close-knit, highly driven and supportive team who share a passion for quality,performance and overall customer satisfaction. 

The successful applicant will need to be a highly self-motivated and self-reliant professional with sales & relationship management skills; a self-starter, initiating relationship development and leading the commercialisation of key clients. 

Job tasks and responsibilities

  • Deliver to agreed KPI's and service levels and retention targets,
  • Work closely with all potential & new clients to identify their needs, understand objectives and their decision-making process,
  • Developing rapport and relationships with key clients, by taking a proactive role to communication and identification of opportunities for growth,
  • Advocacy for key clients within operational areas of the business, and
  • Promotion of Next Business Energy's customer portal and other technological initiatives

Skills and experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in solution based sales and portfolio management
  • Strong analytical skills, proficient with MS Office
  • Ability to understand customer challenges and proactively identify areas of improvement
  • Good communication skills with well-developed written and oral communication skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to network and build relationships at all levels
  • Ability to forward plan, accept and manage change
  • Highly developed analytical skills 
  • Ability to articulate knowledge of products, services and value proposition to clients
  • Customer retention and/or loyalty experience (highly desirable)
  • Proven track record in meeting targets and KPI's
